'Ray Donovan' Season 2: Expect lots of twists, turns and tearsAdd to Favorites | Ray Donovan
When we last left the Donovan's, Mickey (Jon Voight) had somehow managed to kill Sully (James Woods), the most wanted man in America and get away with it. And we learned Ray (Liev Schreiber) was also a victim of the same priest who took advantage of his brother Bunchy (Dash Mihok). Oh yeah, that priest ended up getting killed too.
Needless to say, the Showtime drama left us desperately wanting more and luckily Zap2it was able to catch up with some of the cast at the Season 2 premiere event to get a little preview of what's in store for viewers this season, here's what they had to say:
Kerris Dorsey (Bridget Donovan): "My character has a huge arc. We have some crazy things happening towards the end of the season. Bridget has to grow up very quickly. It was really an insane ride for my character. There are a lot of tears, lots and lots of crying in a few episodes. But I am super excited for people to see it!"
Pooch Hall (Darryl Donovan): "My character goes through a major roller coaster as he's trying to figure out, is the family I want to be a part of? Yes, Mickey is his blood father, but Darryl questions some of his choices. It will be interesting to see where our relationship goes, since now he has put him to the test. Darryl definitely starts second guessing his involvement. He knows that Ray is crazy, but now he's like, 'You too, dad?'"
Omar Dorsey (Cookie Brown): "All the things that will be revealed are going to blow everybody's mind. When you see it, you will wonder if Cookie is the most awesome person on Television or the sickest person on Television."
Vinessa Shaw (Kate McPherson): "She gets into big trouble, because she is dealing with Ray Donovan. Kate is a very determined woman. She's no slouch. She has won a Pulitzer prize for her writing and is doing this intense investigative reporting. Her current novel is about Sully Sullivan, so she wants to get to the bottom of it, because that is the end of her book. So essentially she wants to get to the heart of it all and its not easy to do that with the Donovans. There are many major twists and turns she goes through to try and get her story."
Octavius Johnson (Marvin Gaye Washington): "In Season 1, you got a taste of what Marvin was like before the fame. He liked to party, so now that he has gained more success, he will be doing that on a bigger scale. There's more music involved and more singing for my character, but there's a lot of tears too."
David DeSantos (Carlos): Some of the secrets of Season 1 will be answered in the first couple episodes. By episode 3, more questions will be brought up that will need to be addressed."
"Ray Donovan" Season 2 premieres Sunday, July 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime.
