You can't get much further from reality than "The Neighbors." So it's probably fitting that Bethenny Frankel, known for her extensive reality-television career, will make her first leap into primetime scripted TV appearance on the comedy.

Frankel will appear on a "Neighbors" episode airing in the spring, EW.com reports. She will play a businesswoman who helps suburban, human housewife Debbie Weaver ( Jami Gertz) start a business selling handbags. The episode is called "Mo Purses Mo Money Mo Problems." We don't know how the alien neighbors will fit in to this storyline yet.

Frankel has previously starred in "The Real Housewives of New York City," "The Apprentice," "Bethenny Getting Married?" and "Bethenny Ever After." She will next appear in the upcoming reality show, "Bethenny."

There is at least one character who may get very excited about the arrival of a "Real Housewife." Jackie Joyner-Kersee ( Toks Olagundoye) displayed an odd affinity for the brand when the alien lady briefly pretended to be one of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" while on a night out with Debbie and her friends.

As it turns out, Toks Olagundoye is a fan of the "Real Housewives" franchise in real life: " Andy [Cohen], come on! I love you! I watch you every night," Olagundoye told reporters last week at the Television Critics Association. Bethenny may not be Andy, but she is a step in the right (?) direction.
