'Real World: Ex-Plosion' cast member Jenny 'shocked, disappointed' by Brian's infidelity: 'He's a liar'Add to Favorites | The Real World: Ex-plosion
"The Real World: Ex-Plosion" cast member Jenny was feeling really proud of herself for not hooking up or dancing with any random guy when the girls and guys separated for a night out on Wednesday (Feb. 26). Her ex Brian had laid out some ground rules earlier that day: If they were going to work on their relationship, they had to stay faithful to each other.
Too bad Brian didn't stick to his own rules. While the guys were out at a bar, he ended up kissing a random girl, a mere few hours after telling Jenny not to do that exact same thing. Oops.
And that betrayal will change everything for Jenny and Brian going forward. "It was really disappointing and shocking because Brian is ... well, I can't use present tense now anymore, huh? Brian used to be a very family-oriented guy," Jenny tells Zap2it. "He was committed, genuine, honest, reserved, a convervative guy. Definitely relationship material."
But according to Jenny, when Brian arrived in San Francisco and moved into "The Real World" house, she could sense that he had changed.
"I had moved to California a year ago and I think something happened to him after I left because his head kind of blew up," Jenny says. "He had always been jealous and possessive over me. Like I couldn't even have a conversation at the bar with a guy, shooting the s*** about politics. If I was even just talking to a guy, it was an issue. So the fact that he had always preached that he wanted me to be this type of person and he does this on the show, it's hypocritical."
And to make matters worse, Brian didn't come clean to Jenny for a while. "We were working on things, and he lied to me about that," Jenny says. "Afterwards, he told me he had just danced with her and got her number. He left out that little detail about them kissing. I found out about that later."
So how did Jenny find out about Brian's indiscretion? "He told me two days later in the house that he had made out with her," Jenny says. "After he broke the rules that he made, that was jacked. How do you go up to someone and say, 'This is what I don't want you to do,' and then break them that night?"
She continues, "I was a good girl. Just because I might act wild at the club, and dance and get a lot of attention, it doesn't mean that I'm promiscuous. That's a common misconception, especially between him and I. if I'm in a relationship, then I'm a good girl and I'm committed."
Now that Brian broke his own rules, Jenny doesn't know if she can ever believe what he says again. "I know he can't be trusted now," Jenny says. "He's a liar. He's promiscuous. He does exactly what he tells me not to do."
So what does this mean for Jenny going forward? "I'm still going to try to work out this issue between us," Jenny says. "In the next few episodes, I'm trying to figure out who he is and if there was something that happened to him that made him change who he is, or maybe this is the way he's always been. Maybe there's other s*** that I don't know about that happened in the past when we were still together. I'm going to try and figure out who he is and what his values are."
"The Real World: Ex-Plosion" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.
