"Reckless" star Cam Gigandet has come a long way since his days on "The O.C.," but he still has very clear memories of his time on the series. Unfortunately, they aren't exactly the warm and fuzzy type of memories you would hope for.
Speaking to Elle, Gigandet says that he doesn't keep in touch with anyone from the cast. "Actually, Ben McKenzie was kind of mean to me," he reveals. "I hadn't done anything at that point and he was a little bit of an a**."
Still, he respects McKenzie's work, adding, "But I love him. I think he's a great actor and I love 'Southland.'"
At least Gigandet remembers McKenzie, though. The same can't be said for Mischa Barton. "Mischa? I didn't really ... Was she there?" he questions. "I don't even have memories of her." It sounds like she didn't make much of a favorable impression.
Though Gigandet learned a lot during his time on the show, the experience just wasn't one he cares to relive much. "The things that I remember now -- none of them are good." he says. "It was only the third or fourth season. Those kids were f***ing miserable. They were just -- they would not remember their lines on purpose. They were young."
In the end, while Giganget might not have built lifelong friendships during "The O.C.," that's not exactly out of the ordinary for him. "I don't talk to anyone I've ever worked with," he says.
