Bruno Mars won't be the only performer rocking the stage for the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2. The NFL has announced he will be joined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers for what is sure to be a memorable show.

The news came during the NFC Divisional Playoff game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New Orleans Saints, with the Seahawks getting the win. With more than 60 million albums sold since they formed in 1983, the Red Hot Chili Peppers definitely have a fan base worthy of a Super Bowl appearance.

Drummer Chad Smith celebrated the news on Twitter with a photo of a custom drumstick, marked with both the logos for the Chili Peppers and Super Bowl XLVIII. Are you excited the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing?
