Reese Witherspoon zings Robert Pattinson, pokes Blake Lively at MTV Movie Awards
Pattinson set the tone when he ad libbed his acting history with Witherspoon -- he mentioned that he played her son in 2004's "Vanity Fair," but his scenes ended up on the cutting room floor -- and, Pattinson claimed, his exclusion from the film was directly attributable to her. Then, talking about his role as her love in "Water for Elephants," Pattinson said, "I didn't cut you out. But I did f--- you."
Pattinson went on to talk about Witherspoon's wisdom, including, "It is possible to be 33 percent lesbian."
Witherspoon took the stage and said simply, "Oh my god."
"That's crazy," she added after a pause. "First I have the three most ridiculous people on earth giving me this award."
Then, totally topping Pattinson at his own game, she informed him that he'd missed the punchline: "You're the best motherf---er in Hollywood."
Next up more Witherspoon wisdom.
"It's also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show," said the 35-year-old actress.
Then, in a jibe clearly aimed at Blake Lively -- who presented an earlier award and has been at the center of a nude picture controversy for the past week, "If you take naked pictures of yourself with your cell phone, you hide your face."
Now that's an acceptance speech, ladies and gentlemen.
