On "Reign," international diplomacy and teenage romance go hand-in-hand. It's thus not a surprise that the upcoming episode, "Kissed," deals heavily with both. Will Mary and Francis' romance and political alliance crumble? Can a handsome nobleman from Portugal steal Mary's heart and/or country?

Find out with these five spoilers from "Kissed."

1. Mary ( Adelaide Kane) is very frustrated throughout much of the episode: "Sometimes, you just need to kick something."

2. Tomas (guest star Manolo Cardona), the illegitimate son of the King of Portugal, shows up in court. His purpose is to conclude trade negotiations with France and to be very, very sexy. One of these things is far more successful than the other.

3. On "Reign," even kitchen servants are hot and charming young men.

4. Most girls hope for a ring from a serious suitor. When you're a queen like Mary, however, you can also get a country, papal dispensations and some impressive trinkets made of New World gold.

5. Important yet cryptic spoiler uttered by Nostradamus in "Kissed": "The lion will fight the dragon on a field of poppies." What does that mean? It's hard to say. What does anything said by Nostradamus really mean?

"Reign" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
