Richard Madden chooses 'Klondike' love interest over 'Game of Thrones' wife

Richard Madden was nothing but a good sport when he was at TCA 2014 winter press tour to promote his new Discovery series "Klondike." Between posing with a stuffed animal Grey Wind to fielding our nerdy "Doctor Who" questions, he was game for any and all subjects.

That includes having to choose between "Klondike" and his previous TV series, "Game of Thrones." Buzzfeed made Madden decide between his former and current TV families, and some of his picks are a bit surprising.

When having to choose which character should die, The Count or Joffrey, Madden was quick to answer Joffrey (for obvious reasons). "Everyone wants to see him dead. The Count, yeah, I think he's just a really bad, bad man. But obviously, bad things have happened to him to make him like that. Joffrey, I think he was just born bad, so we should kill him," Madden says.

The former King of the North would rather marry his "Klondike" love interest Belinda Mulrooney than remarry Talisa Maegyr (what!) but at least would rather have a direwolf than fire wood. Unfortunately for Bran, Madden would rather save his "Klondike" BFF Byron than stop Jaime Lannister from pushing his little brother from the towers of Winterfell.

Bonus: When having to play f***, marry, kill with his former "Game of Thrones" and "Klondike" co-characters, Madden made some surprising cuts. He'd kill Cersei and Joffrey, marry Belinda and Tyrion ("I think me and Peter [Dinklage] would have a nice life together") and have sex with Jaime Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen. Well, at least he has specific taste.

"Klondike" premieres Jan. 20 on Discovery Channel. "Game of Thrones" returns to HBO on April 6.
