The summer movie season is over as the fall begins. With it comes the first major release of the season, "Riddick." The movie is the third entry in the title character's series, all starring Vin Diesel as a vicious predator who can see in the dark.
Riddick first appeared on film in 2000's "Pitch Black." He returned in 2004's "The Chronicles of Riddick" and the animated feature "The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury." Now, after a nearly 10-year absence, he's back at a time when Diesel's career is possibly at a higher point than ever before. His "Fast & Furious" series continues to become more successful with each new movie and he's confirmed negotiations to voice Groot in Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy."
The new movie also stars Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, Karl Urban and Jordi Molla. Is the world aching for more Riddick, though? The reviews are mixed, with the general tone seeming to be that it doesn't really break any new ground. The movie currently sits with a 57% on Rotten Tomatoes. Take a look at the trailer, then sound off in the poll. Will you be seeing "Riddick," or is there another movie you'll head to the theater to watch?
