Rihanna's 777 Tour: Journalist streaks as RiRi heads to London
As Rihanna's 777 Tour nears the end of its worldwide, weeklong journey, the attention has shifted from the 24-year-old singer and has refocused on the 200 journalists she has traveling with her. Apparently Rihanna is not giving them the attention they think they're due, and the tour is being wracked with delays. Add that to the fact the reporters who have come along for the tour are being fed with plane snacks, filled with alcohol and getting barely any sleep on the overnight flights between cities RiRi is performing in and you have a recipe for disaster.
Those issues seemingly culminated on the flight between Berlin and London, as Australian radio presented Tim Dormer stripped down to nothing and streaked around the plane. FM104 host Sean Munsanje posted the above video blog where he said that the journalists have now become the tour's story, as Rihanna's visits to them have become less and less frequent.
"So yeah, the #777tour plane staged a revolution against Rihanna on flight between Berlin and London," Fuse senior writer Jason Newman tweeted. "Crowd chanted 'Just one quote!,' 'I need a headline!' and 'Occupy 777' while Aussie journo stripped naked and ran around the plane."
For her part, Rihanna hasn't publicly acknowledged any of the mayhem occurring in the press section of her tour. Newman writes that a Def Jam publicist didn't know if Rihanna was aware of what was happening at all, and added, "Someday, before we die, I'll tell you my version of the story."
After London, the tour will wind to a close in New York City. Thus far, the 777 Tour has visited Mexico, Canada, Sweden, France and Germany. Rihanna's new album, "Unapologetic," hits store shelves today.
