Rihanna decided to to bare it all for British GQ's 25th anniversary magazine cover ... and put a new spin on an old Greek mythology character.

Wearing nothing but snakes on her head, the "Styled to Rock" executive producer rocked a bizarre Medusa-inspired look created by artist Damien Hirst for the cover and spread for the issue. "Damien Hirst is one of the world's most highly acclaimed living artists," the magazine states. "Rihanna is one of the world's most successful pop icons. To celebrate GQ's 25th anniversary, these two creative firebrands embarked on an art project the like of which has never been seen before."

The ironic aspect of the shoot is that Medusa is known for being so hideous, one look at her face turns any creature to stone. Obviously, Rihanna didn't decided to portray the hideous nature of the mythological creature, and instead put a sexy spin on the snake-headed lady.
