Robert Pattinson on 2012 election: 'I would vote to not be able to vote'
Let's overlook for a moment the pesky detail that Pattinson isn't even eligible to vote in the United States. That aside, Pattinson tells Jimmy Kimmel on Monday (November 5) that he wouldn't even want to vote.
"I don't like any kind of responsibility," he says. "I would vote for people like me to not be able to vote."
Kimmel jokes that if Obama wins, it's a sign that the "Twilight" series really isn't over.
Obama's election the first go-round happened during another momentous occasion in the "Twilight" universe -- the press tour for the first film.
"When Obama won last time, I was doing press for the first 'Twilight,'" Pattinson says. "I didn't know what was going on. Everyone was screaming on the streets of New York."
