"Good Morning America" co-anchor Robin Roberts stops by Tuesday's (April 29) "Ellen DeGeneres Show" to talk about the tumultuous past year and a half she's had, which included a diagnosis of MDS (Myelodysplastic syndrome), a bone marrow transplant and coming out of the closet.

The appearance is part of promoting her new book, "Everybody's Got Something," which you can read an excerpt of here. Above, she tells Ellen how she thought she only had one to two years to live when her initial MDS diagnosis came down.

Below, she talks about coming out of the closet and how her girlfriend of 10 years, Amber Laign, is a bit shy about the spotlight -- "She's here right now. I can't get her to come out," says Roberts, to which Ellen quips, "Well, she came out, but anyway. It's too late for that now."
