Robin Thicke may be in the middle of an alleged cheating scandal with 20-year-old socialite Lana Scolaro, but he has some very strong feelings toward his wife, Paula Patton. In an interview for the September issue of Prestige Hong Kong magazine, the couple talks about being there for each other during the more difficult times in their lives and careers.

"I don't know if I would still be alive in some ways if it wasn't for Paula," Robin says. "She's been my rock, my muse, my inspiration and I love her." Patton, an actress, elaborates, "I've been there for his down moments and he's been there for mine. Life is full of peaks and valleys." She says Thicke also reminds her to appreciate things in the moment, adding, "Even when it looks like I've got a role but don't know for sure, he's like, 'Let's celebrate!'"

Something else that's important to Robin is his role as a dad. He says fatherhood is something that has definitely changed him for the better. "My son is my good-luck charm; he's made me not think about myself all day long," Thicke explains. "All of a sudden he shows up with his beautiful smile and perfect energy and makes me go, 'Ah, forget my little problems.'"

This interview was conducted before his VMA performance with Miley Cyrus and the whole butt-grabbing fiasco that followed. Everything seems fine in Thicke and Patton's world, though. The f amily went on vacation after the show.
