Robin Thicke made headlines earlier this year with his racy performance with singer Miley Cyrus at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. Now he sits down with Oprah Winfrey for "Oprah's Next Chapter" to talk about the controversial moment and also his marriage to actress Paula Patton.

Regarding the "Blurred Lines" performance, where Cyrus was grinding against Thicke's pelvis in a move called "twerking," Thicke says, "People ask me, 'Do you twerk?' I'm like, 'Listen, I'm the twerkee. I'm twerked upon. I don't twerk myself, okay? I'm just twerked upon.'"

He also says the performance wasn't about sex, it was about fun.

"To me, I'm walking out towards Miley -- I'm not thinking sex, I'm thinking fun, you know? I mean, her and I don't have that kind of -- you have to remember, I'm singing my butt off. I'm sitting there, I'm looking up at the sky, and I'm not really paying attention to all that," he says.

Hmmm. The full interview airs Sunday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.
