Robin Williams to be memorialized in 'World of Warcraft,' one of his favorite games

robin-williams-world-of-warcraft-gi.jpgIt's no secret Robin Williams was a huge video game fan -- heck, he named his daughter Zelda after "The Legend of Zelda" series. Following the news of his suicide, the community of gamers from one of his favorite titles, "World of Warcraft," rallied to help him live on in the video game's world.

Lead game designer Ion Hazzikostas tells the Associated Press, "We haven't decided [what the role will be], but it will most likely be a character inspired by him or some of his favorite roles of the past."

"All of us are massive Robin Williams fans," Hazzikostas continues. "We love and appreciate his work. We grew up watching his movies and stand-up. We knew he was an avid 'WoW' player, which was awesome. We have a number of pop culture references and things that reflect great figures of our time here and there. We're just thinking about the appropriate and right way to do it."

This comes after it was announced a new expansion, "WoW: Warlords of Draenor," will have a Nov. 13, 2014 release date.
