Ron Burgundy asks Peyton Manning about his Denver Broncos horse relationship
Ron Burgundy really knows how to cut to the core of an interview subject.
Will Ferrell has been making the rounds as the "Anchorman" character while promoting the new movie "Anchorman: The Legend Continues," and his latest stop took him to ESPN's "SportsCenter." There he interviewed Peyton Manning about arguably the most buzzworthy subjects of all: Manning's lack of a mustache and his relationship with the Denver Broncos horse Thunder.
"You've had a lot of success, and yet you've done it all without a mustache. You're running around out there and -- I'm going to be honest with you -- you look like a succulent baby lamb," Burgundy deadpans to Manning. Manning takes it in stride, saying, "I think I managed to play quarterback okay without a mustache. [Brother] Eli [Manning] tried to grow one a while back without much of a success, I have to say."
Manning almost couldn't keep it together when Burgundy asked him, "Tell me about your relationship with Thunder."
"Our mascot, Thunder? You're talking about the horse that runs up and down the field every time the Broncos score?" Manning asks back. The full Ron Burgundy and Champ Kind takeover takes place on Thursday on ESPN at 6 p.m. ET.
