Ron Howard and Chris Hemsworth's 'Rush' to open Zurich Film Festival
Chris Hemsworth isn't only Thor. The Marvel Cinematic Universe actor is starring in Ron Howard's new Formula One racing drama "Rush," and it's starting to get some serious buzz.
Adding to the film's credibility is the fact that "Rush" is slated to screen opening night at the 9th annual Zurich Film Festival. The premiere will take place on Sept. 26. Meanwhile, "Rush" is slated to open in the US on Sept. 27. It will screen at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 8.
"Rush" tells the true story of Austrian Formula One driver Niki Lauda, who almost died in a 1976 crash. Not long after the accident, he got back in the car to challenge his British rival James Hunt. Hemsworth plays Hunt, while Daniel Bruhl plays Lauda. Also starring in the movie are Olivia Wilde and Natalie Dormer.
