Royal baby fever gives us lifesize Kate Middleton cake
Houston cake designer Nadine Moon has crafted a lifesize cake that is Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge holding her new baby. She tells ABC News, "I think everyone loves Princess Kate's story, it's everyone's fairy tale. I think she's such an inspiration to so many brides, and we thought it was a neat thing to honor her and do a life-size tribute to her in cake and Rice Krispies Treats with the baby."
Moon, owner of Who Made the Cake cake shop, says that Cake Middleton is made out butter pound cake topped with vanilla and amaretto butter cream frosting, then covered in white chocolate fondant.
The cake is currently on display at the Bridal Extravaganza Show in Houston. Moon says if Kensington Palace says yes, she'll ship the cake to London. Moon would have to travel with it and reassemble it there.
That ... sounds insane. We mean, what are they going to do with it? Who's going to eat it? Who wants to eat Kate Middleton's face? Or her baby? Weird.
