Royal baby watch: Kate Middleton and Prince William return to London

kate-william-royal-baby-title.jpg Prince William and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge have departed Kate's family home to return to London, putting the legions of royal baby watchers on even higher alert.

The couple departed the Middletons' home in Bucklebury, about 60 miles outside of London, Friday afternoon (July 19), Us Weekly reports. Whether that means the baby is on its way, or the couple just wants to be closer to the hospital when the duchess does go into labor, is anyone's guess.

Meanwhile, conflicting reports about Kate's actual due date continue to swirl. A royal source tells E! News that Kensington Palace is assuming Kate is "two to three days" past her due date now. The Telegraph newspaper, however, is reporting that Friday is the real due date, and previous reports pegging it at July 11 or 13 were wrong.

For those who really, really don't want to miss a thing, Reuters has set up a live stream from outside the hospital. It's mostly just a static shot with the occasional pedestrian or car passing by, though there was a little excitement earlier in the day Friday when William and Kate impersonators walked up the hospital steps as a stunt to promote a newspaper's royal baby coverage.
