Royal baby watch: Kate Middleton due 'by the end of the week,' Camilla hopes
"We don't know what's going to happen. We're all waiting at the end of a telephone," Camilla told reporters Monday (July 15) while visiting a children's hospice as she and Prince Charles toured the counties of Devon and Cornwall. "I hope by the end of the week, he or she will be there."
The Duchess of Cambridge is now a few days past her reported due date, the key word there being "reported." No one from the royal family has ever stated anything more specific than Kate being due in July. Should she go more than a week or so past the baby's full term, her doctors could opt to induce labor.
Meanwhile, Kate is reportedly spending the final days of her pregnancy at her parents' home in the town of Bucklebury, about 60 miles outside of London. Her husband, Prince William, took part in a charity polo match over the weekend and is on a brief leave from his Royal Air Force duties in Wales.
