Royal Wedding: Westminster Abbey already has fans camping outside

royal-wedding-fan-sleeping-bag.jpgThe Royal Wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton is just three days away and the Brits are already starting to stake out their spots outside Westminster Abbey so that they can watch the festivities for themselves. The above gentleman is John Loughrey, credited as a first person to be waiting patiently for the big day. He tells "Today" that he just "wanted to be early" and that Princess Diana is proud of her sons and will be there in spirit for the wedding.

The older woman below is credited as the second fan to start the waiting game. Gwen Murray is from Norfolk, England and is apparently going to work on her knitting while she waits. We wonder where she will sleep?

Security is also ramping up, as police officers check a scaffolding tower for the press in the picture below Ms. Murray. And finally, no event of this size would be complete without vendors capitalizing on the thousands of people turning out for it. There are sidewalk displays of Royal Wedding souvenirs popping all over, including the Royal Wedding plate, seen below next to Princess Diana's commemorative plate.

Crazypants. And we love it. Zap2it will be here starting at 3:30 a.m. ET Friday, April 29 to cover all the events of the big day. Here you can check out all the possible TV coverage at your disposal.
