ruben-studdard-the-biggest-loser-s15-nbc-325.jpg "American Idol" Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard was booted from "The Biggest Loser" ranch this week when he failed to lose the 100 lbs. required to save his team at weigh-in.

The knife in the back about the elimination of the fan favorite is that Dolvett Quince had already wasted his trainer save the previous week on Ruben's teammate, Tanya WInfield, who didn't work nearly as hard, but did reveal a crush on Dolvett.

Hmm ...

But never fear, fans of the Velvet Teddybear. Ruben will return on the "Biggest Loser" Season 15 finale, and he could still walk away with the $100,000 at-home prize.

The eliminated contestants can and should stay on their new diet and workout regimens once they leave the ranch, because whoever among them is the biggest at-home loser scores the cash -- and the bragging rights, of course.

After his elimination, Studdard promised to keep up his new lifestyle, saying, "America, my voice may be soulful, but the next time you see me, my body will be sexy." Raise your hand if you can't wait to see Ruben -- and his back hair -- again.

Meanwhile, if you missed his elimination, you can relive the shocking weigh-in with the video below:
