Ryan Gosling bank robbery 'Place Beyond The Pines' scene shot with real people
It turns out that when Ryan Gosling films a bank robbery scene in a movie, he robs a real bank. At least, that's what happened in his latest film, "The Place Beyond The Pines."
In a new interview, it's confirmed that one robbery scene in the recent Derek Cianfrance film was shot in an actual bank, and that the people featured in it were actual customers and tellers instead of actors. However, they didn't seem to be too put off by the fact Gosling was walking around the place waving a gun.
"I'm there with a gun and I look down and people are just smiling," he tells MSN. "They were just enjoying the show and I think I spotted someone filming me on their camera phone as I robbed the place."
"The Place Beyond The Pines" came out in theaters on March 29. It also stars Bradley Cooper, Ray Liotta and Eva Mendes, and is notable for being the film that Gosling and Mendes fell in love during.
