Ryan Seacrest takes it easy on President Obama

obama-seacrest-g1.jpgPresident Obama called into Ryan Seacrest's radio show Tuesday (Nov. 2) to urge young people to vote today -- and as you might suspect, it wasn't the world's toughest interview.

Seacrest is, after all, not a member of the White House press corps, so the president was able to stick to his talking points on the economy, immigration and a question about last week's foiled terrorism plot. His primary goal, though, was to encourage people -- especially young adults -- to vote in Tuesday's midterm elections.

"I'm optimistic about this country because of young people, because of their energy, their enthusiasm, their ideas," the president said. "But that doesn't make a difference if they don't participate."
