Jennifer Lawrence's chances of winning the Best Actress at the Academy Awards just got a bit brighter. The actress took home the award for Best Actress in a Film at the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards for her work in "Silver Linings Playbook," and it was well-deserved.

"Oh my god, this is incredible. Thank you so much," she said to start her speech, seeming genuinely shaken by the honor.

Somewhat surprisingly, Lawrence thanked MTV first for her SAG win. As she explained (and as can be seen below), she got her SAG card for starring in a commercial for the MTV series "My Super Sweet Sixteen," and so she has the network to thank for giving her her start.

"Now I have this naked statue that means that some of you [the SAG committee] even voted me and that is an indescribable feeling," she quipped.

Lawrence went on to thank director David O. Russell, costar Bradley Cooper, producer Harvey Weinstein and her family for her win. "Bradley, my performance would not have been the same without you," she told him. "You made me better every day."

Lawrence was up against critical darling Jessica Chastain, who seemed like a shoe-in for her performance in "Zero Dark Thirty." Also nominated were Marion Cotillard for "Rust and Bone," Helen Mirren for "Hitchcock" and Naomi Watts for "The Impossible."
