Sarah Michelle Gellar confirms 'All My Children' return, just not as Kendall HartAdd to Favorites | All My Children
Promoting her new series, "Ringer," Sarah Michelle Gellar announced at the Television Critics Association summer press tour that she will appear on the soap before it heads on to its other life online (or wherever).
"I can confirm officially today that I will be doing a guest spot on 'All My Children'" says Gellar, who went on to express her regret and confusion over the series' cancellation.
It was, after all, the springboard for her enduring career. She won a Daytime Emmy in 1995 for her portrayal of Kendall Hart. But she won't be stepping into Kendall's shoes for her return.
"I don't want to be Kendall," she insists. "That's Alicia [Minshew's] role. I don't know what I'm going to be doing."
Gellar says she made the call into "AMC" showrunners to express her interest, and though she still knows nothing, she has reserved a day to shoot the cameo.
