Sarah Palin fitness book: 'Dancing With the Stars' All-Star Bristol Palin calls mom 'an awesome athlete' and 'motivator'

bristol-sarah-palin.jpgWhether Bristol Palin exits "Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars" with a mirror-ball trophy or not, mom Sarah Palin will probably enlist her help as a writer.

As the former vice presidential candidate revealed Wednesday (Oct. 10), the Palin family is "writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!"

"My mom is an awesome athlete," raved Bristol after Monday's "DWTS" performance show. Not only that, she inspires her daughter to follow her example.

"She's definitely my motivation, and she keeps me going to hot yoga every morning and doing stuff like that. I try to keep up with her. She's a big runner. She likes to do everything."

Nor does Bristol believe the mama grizzly is too thin. "She's really fit. She's lean. She's beautiful."

Would Sarah ever be interested in swapping her conservative pumps for dancing shoes on "DWTS"?

"I don't know," laughed Bristol. "That would be hilarious! Oh my gosh, that would be so weird."

Not in a bad way though. Not surprisingly, Bristol thinks Sarah would be a great competitor.

"She would be awesome!"

"Dancing With the Stars" returns Monday, Oct. 15 with a new performance show at 8 p.m. on ABC.
