Sarah Palin pitches a new reality show; 'Grimm' takes on Hansel and Gretel

- Politician-turned-TV personality Sarah Palin is pitching a new unscripted series that focuses on husband Todd's snowmobile-racing career, but she and producer Mark Burnett have yet to find any willing buyers. TLC, which aired "Sarah Palin's Alaska" last year, and parent company Discovery Communications have said no thanks, and so has A&E. [ Hollywood Reporter]

- "Grimm" is planning an episode based on the Hansel and Gretel story, with Daryl Sabara ("Spy Kids") and Hannah Marks ("Necessary Roughness") guest-starring as the brother and sister. In the show's version, they'll be homeless teenagers who get caught up in some nasty doings in the creature underworld. [ EW]

- Lifetime has pulled the plug on its drama series "Against the Wall" after one season. The show, about a Chicago detective ( Rachael Carpani) who upsets her cop-heavy family by taking an Internal Affairs post, deubted to modest ratings in the summer and didn't grow from there. [ Deadline]

- In other cancellation news, "The Nate Berkus Show" will end after two seasons. The daytime show starring Oprah Winfrey protege Berkus is falling victim to weak ratings; it will finish production and deliver its full complement of episodes for this season, but that's it. [ Broadcasting & Cable]

- "Hot in Cleveland" will stage another mini-"Mary Tyler Moore" reunion when Ed Asner guest-stars opposite Betty White in an episode set for the summer. Asner will play the president of a posh country club in Cleveland who has a past with White's character, Elka. [ EW]

- Jami Gertz, late of "Entourage," has scored a lead role in an ABC comedy pilot about a family who discovers their new neighbors are all aliens. Simon Templeman ("Just Shoot Me") will play her husband in the show from "Crazy, Stupid, Love" writer Dan Fogelman. Tim Jo and Toks Olagundoye will play two of the aliens. [ Deadline]
