"Everyone should be very afraid, and if I were you, I would be terrified."

So says Papa Pope in this new look at the return of ABC's hit "Scandal," and, while everyone in Olivia's world might have reason for fear, in the real world, there's just elation that the addictive series is finally coming back.

This first look at the episode, entitled "Ride, Sally, Ride," is chock full of the "Scandal" insanity fans have come to know and love. There's Fitz reaffirming his fight for Liv's heart, Mellie throwing shade, Harrison packing heat, a devilishly handsome Jake -- and that very, very ominous warning from Eli.

ABC's official logline for the episode is, true to form, frustratingly brief: "The White House deals with a bombshell announcement from Sally Langston. Meanwhile, Olivia finds herself in a challenging new role."

Predictions on the two? Sally announced her intent to run against Fitz, while Olivia rejoins the Grant re-election campaign. Duh. It's all the other crazy goodness coming our way that's a little tougher to predict.

Is it February 27 yet?

"Scandal" returns for eight all-new, uninterrupted episodes on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
