'Scandal's' Tony Goldwyn really wants to meet President Obama

tony-goldwyn-arsenio-hall-show-president-obama-gi.jpg "Scandal" star Tony Goldwyn may play President Grant on the hit ABC show, but that doesn't mean he's had the chance to meet the real president yet -- something he really wishes would change.

Goldwyn appeared on "The Arsenio Hall Show" on Wednesday (Oc.t 2) to promote the Season 3 premiere of "Scandal," and during the conversation, Hall asked if Goldwyn had met President Barack Obama yet, saying he would expect so.

"I would, too," Goldwyn quipped, "but he has not called." He explained that he's really hopeful he will meet the president one day, telling a story of how he attended the White House Correspondent's Dinner and, while there, people kept approaching, asking if he was going to get some face time with the Commander-in-Chief. "I said, 'I hope so.' It didn't quite happen, so hopefully next year."
