Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria say women should vote for Barack Obama
Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington want you to vote for Barack Obama.
The three Hollywood actresses -- and vocal Obama supporters -- have spoken out in a new MoveOn.org video that discusses how Mitt Romney's policies will affect female voters. They cite, among other concerns, his stance on Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood as reasons voters should make sure that they're aware of what affect Romney will have as president.
"If you think this election won't affect you and your life, think again," Scarlett says in the video. "Vote for Barack Obama."
These comments echo the sentiments Johansson expressed when she spoke at the Democratic National Convention. At the time, she encouraged voters to be aware of the effects their votes will have.
"You know who I'm voting for. I'm not going to tell you who to vote for. I'm here to ask you to commit to vote. It's never been easier than now ... earlier this week, Chelsea Clinton reminded us that we are the generation that feels our voices have not been heard. So vote, so that your voice is heard," she said to finish her speech.
