Caan ("Ocean's Eleven") will play Detective Danny Williams -- as in, "Book 'em, Danno" -- in the Eye's pilot. In other casting news, Jeri Ryan is joining ABC's "Body of Evidence," Nate Corddry is heading to NBC and Robert Patrick has signed on to an ABC drama. Alan Ruck and Allison Miller have joined projects at The CW.

Caan will be billed as a guest star in the "Five-O" pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter. That's because he's currently a cast regular on "Entourage," continuing a role he began last season. If "Hawaii Five-O" is picked up, he'll become a full-time member of the cast.

The other casting news:

- Ryan, who's been recurring on TNT's "Leverage" of late, will play a chief medical examiner in "Body of Evidence," the HR says. The ABC project has approached Dana Delany to star. Her TV credits also include "Shark," "The O.C." and "Boston Public."

- Also at ABC, Patrick ("The Unit," "Terminator 2") has joined "Edgar Floats." He'll play a bail bondsman who employs the title character, a psychologist turned bounty hunter who used to be married to the bondsman's daughter (Alicia Witt).

- Corddry ("United States of Tara") and Jonathan Sadowski ("Friday the 13th") will star in NBC's comedy presentation "Our Show." The series from Larry Charles ("Borat," "Seinfeld") will follow a group of sci-fi fans who, when their favorite show is canceled, start making new episodes themselves.

- At The CW, Ruck ("Spin City," "Ferris Bueller's Day Off") has joined "Gilmore Girls" creator Amy Sherman-Palladino's Wyoming-set drama, and Miller ("Kings," "17 Again") will star in the supernaturally tinged drama "Betwixt."
