Scott Disick to play 'American Psycho'? Bret Easton Ellis approves

scott-disick-getty-vertical.jpgWe are not pleased that Lionsgate has made a deal to remake the 2000 film "American Psycho" -- particularly since the 11-year-old original version still holds up to today's filmmaking standards, and Christian Bale is now more famous than ever.

But if they have to remake it, they might as well go all-out ridiculous... and it sounds like author Bret Easton Ellis, who wrote the novel adapted to the movie, is on board with that plan.

Scott Disick -- best known for being Kourtney Kardashian's baby daddy -- bears a creepy resemblance to Bale's character, Patrick Bateman, and he knows it. "just heard there doin a remake of American Psych," he tweeted. (The [sic] is obvious, we assume.) "best news I have ever heard! i hope they call me!"

Ellis agrees. "I have warned Lionsgate that I will not approve a new version of 'American Psycho' unless it stars SCOTT DISICK or MILES FISHER," he tweeted -- apparently unfazed that Disick has no acting experience. (We're not totally sure he's ever even had a job that wasn't Kardashian-related.)

He later added, "I am waiting for Scott Disick to ask: 'Who in the hell is is Bret Easton Ellis?'"

Disick, to his credit, did know who the author is.

We can't help but kind of dig this casting idea. Disick has psycho-murderer written all over him.
