'Scribbenauts Unmasked' to incorporate 2,000 DC Comics characters

Love "Scribblenauts"? Love the DC Comics universe? Well you're in luck, because Warner Bros. Interactive and developer 5th Cell have teamed to release a version of the open-ended adventure puzzle game that combines both of those properties.

Called "Scribblenauts Unmasked," the latest installment in the series will incorporate more than 2,000 DC Comics characters including Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, The Joker, Killer Croc and The Penguin. But "Scribblenauts Unmasked" goes one step past just bringing those characters into the gameplay. It also will reportedly include every variation of each superhero or villain from the DC Comics catalogue.

The "Scribblenauts" games follow main character Maxwell as he solves a series of puzzles by summoning objects. In "Scribblenauts Unmasked," players seem to be able to summon whichever DC character they want along with objects like batarangs or abilities like superspeed. Similarly, a user is shown in the above trailer customizing Superman to look more like Doomsday.

"Scribblenauts Unmasked" is scheduled to be released in the fall on Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC.
