Sean Kingston update: Jet ski accident puts singer in ICU

sean-kingston-getty2.jpg"Got my friend @seankingston in my prayers tonight. a true friend and big bro. please keep him in your prayers tonight as well," Justin Bieber tweeted late Sunday night after news of  Sean Kingston 's jet ski accident broke. Kingston, who worked with Bieber on his hit ""Eenie Meeni," was riding a watercraft with a female passenger when he hit a bridge.

"He and his female passenger ended up in the water," Jorge Pino, spokesman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, told People. "A good Samaritan tended to the two of them until Miami Beach Fire Rescue arrived and saw there were injuries." Pino also noted that there was no reason to believe alcohol was involved in the crash.

Kingston's injuries were so severe that he was taken to the Jackson Ryder Trauma Center, but as of Monday, he has been moved to ICU.  "Sean Kingston is now stabilized and has moved from the trauma unit to ICU. Sean's family thanks everyone for their prayers and support during this time," his rep says.

Bieber sent his best wishes. "A lot of you are asking about @seankingston - he is doing better but out of respect to his family I will wait for them to comment," he wrote. "I will continue to pray and support my friend."
