The NBC freshman comedy closed up shop on Tuesday (Jan. 28), Deadline reports. The Sean Hayes comeback vehicle had received a five-episode back order, bringing the Season 1 total to 18 episodes. However, only 14 episodes have been shot.

With 12 of the series' episodes having aired, NBC plans to see how the final two perform after the Olympics, according to the website. That said, it doesn't look too promising.

Along with the rest of the network's Thursday lineup, "Sean Saves the World" has struggled mightily in the ratings. Recent episodes have dipped below a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49.

Do you think this spells the end for "Sean Saves the World"?
