Kristen Wiig's latest comedy "Girl Most Likely" premiered to mostly underwhelming reactions at last year's Toronto Film Festival (when it was still called "Imogene") but gets its chance to impress wider audiences when it opens July 19.

Wiig plays a celebrated playwright whose career crumbles in the film directed by Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman (HBO's "Cinema Verite"). Co-stars include Annette Bening as Wiig's eccentric mother, Matt Dillon as Bening's compulsive liar boyfriend and "Glee's" Darren Criss as a young artist who catches Wiig's eye (and winds up in her bed).

Wiig has plenty more projects in the pipeline, including a role in the upcoming "Anchorman 2," Will Ferrell's comedic IFC miniseries "The Spoils of Babylon" and Ben Stiller's "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." She's also set to return to "Saturday Night Live" for this season's penultimate installment -- her first time as host of the show that earned her four consecutive Emmy nominations.
