On Thursday (June 13), the network revealed that the show will also function as a mini- "Seinfeld" reunion as well, with Jason Alexander signing on for a potentially recurring guest role, joining his former Must See TV co-star Michael Richards, who's a regular on "Kirstie."

The new TV Land show focuses on Alley's Broadway star Madison Banks whose life turns upside down when the son she gave up for birth suddenly appears, hoping to connects after the deaths of his adoptive parents. Perlman stars as Maddie's assistant and best friend, while Richards is her outlandish driver. Alexander will play her agent.

"It is a strange and wonderful thing to be working on a brand new show yet surrounded by familiar faces and friends," Alexander said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to a fun and fabulous time."

"Kirstie" is set to debut on TV Land this fall.
