Selena Gomez slated to perform at Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving halftime show

Selena Gomez's Thanksgiving plans were just confirmed: she'll be performing the halftime show at the Dallas Cowboys' game to kick off The Salvation Army's 123rd Red Kettle Campaign.

Gomez announced the news on Twitter, saying she is excited to be returning to her home state. The 21-year-old pop star was born in Grand Prairie, Texas.

"I'm kicking off @SalvationArmyUS 's 123rd #RedKettleCampaign this Thanksgiving w/a halftime performance during the @DallasCowboys game!" she tweets. "Feels SO good to be home. Hi Dallas. I hope I make TX proud."

Previous performers for the Red Kettle Kickoff include Kelly Clarkson, the Jonas Brothers and Destiny's Child. Will you be tuning in for Gomez's performance?
