Seth MacFarlane's 'Ted 2' and 'The Bourne Legacy' sequel plans confirmed

ted-seth-macfarlane-mark-wahlberg.jpgOne was a no-brainer and one looked a little iffier, but Universal confirmed today that they're actively developing follow-ups to both Seth Macfarlane's mega-hit comedy "Ted" and relatively disappointing franchise continuation "The Bourne Legacy."

The announcement came at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2012 Media, Communications & Technology conference where NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke was a speaker.

Not surprisingly, Burke was especially bullish on "Ted 2," saying the studio wants to make it "as soon as we can."

Since both projects are in development, there's no details yet in terms of cast, filmmakers, storylines, production schedules or release dates. But knowing that the studio is interested is always the first step.

Now let the speculation begin on whether or not Matt Damon can be lured back to reprise his Jason Bourne role opposite "Legacy" star Jeremy Renner, or if Macfarlane's trash-talking teddy bear will find his true love.
