Showtime's 'Shameless' nabs Amy Smart; 'Friday Night Lights' gets an NBC premiere date

In Wednesday's (Feb. 2) TV Snacks, a much-loved series takes its second death walk, one of our fave shows adds another feisty woman and a couple networks want to be part of your Super Bowl experience.

Showtime's "Shameless" is adding another feisty female to the mix. "The Butterfly Effect's" Amy Smart will be joining the cast for the final two episodes of the series. [ TV Squad]

"Friday Night Lights," which is currently airing on DirecTV makes its final season debut on NBC April 15 at 8 p.m. ET. [ TV Line]

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" finale raked in 4.4 million viewers with 3.1 million of those in the coveted 18-49 demographic. That's a 47% increase over Season 2's finale total audience and a 51% increase for 18-49 year-olds. [ Reuters]

SAG award winner, Colin Firth, appears on "Inside the Actors Studio" on Monday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. ET. Bravo also announced a new special called "The Approval Matrix," based on the popular New York Magazine feature. In the special, a panel discusses what's hot and what's not in pop culture and airs Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 11 p.m. ET. [ Bravo]

"Vh1's Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam" features a live concert by Kid Rock, Duran Duran and Jason Derulo. Hosted by model Marisa Miller live on Thursday, Feb. 3 at 9 p.m. ET. [ Vh1]
