"Sherlock" Season 3 has resurrected its titular character, so now it's time for romance to bloom. While Holmes ( Benedict Cumberbatch) was away, John Watson ( Martin Freeman) found comfort in the arms of one Mary Morstan ( Amanda Abbington).

And they are getting married in the season's second episode, "The Sign of Three." Needless to say, Sherlock has some trouble with all of this.

Warning: There are some "Sherlock" spoilers ahead, especially if you have not yet seen the first episode of the season, "The Empty Hearse." Please proceed with caution.

Although Sherlock seemed to like Mary fairly well, it's not terribly likely that he will feel comfortable with her marrying Watson. It also looks like John has gone and asked Sherlock to be his best man -- and to give a speech at the wedding. What was Watson thinking?

Fortunately for Holmes, it sounds like there will be some sort of murder either at or associated with the ceremony itself. The detective will obviously solve his case, but will he disrupt the nuptials in the process?

"The Sign of Three" airs Sunday, Jan. 5 in the UK and Sunday, Jan. 26 in the US.
