"Grey's Anatomy" is hitting a milestone that is truly rare for a TV series: the long-running ABC medical drama is currently shooting its 200th episode.

Not many shows have made it to this incredible achievement, and executive producer Shonda Rhimes understands how big of a deal it truly is. And since things are so great in Shondaland, she celebrated hitting 200 episodes by surprising the entire crew with a cruise to the Caribbean on Monday (August 19). Watch a video of the crew's reaction here.

"Happiness is giving everyone on the crew at @greysabc a @royalcaribbean cruise. Blessed to have 200 episodes! #ROYALWOW," Rhimes tweeted out Monday night.

The "Grey's Anatomy" creator wasn't the only one sharing the incredible news on social media. Sarah Drew - who plays Dr. April Kepner on the series - also tweeted about the surprise.

So what can fans expect to see plot-wise for the big milestone episode? "I don't know how many shows have gotten to 200 episodes; it's really rare," Rhimes told The Hollywood Reporter. "One of the things I want to do in our 200th is show how our interns have grown up; 200 episodes later, they're all badass surgeons, which is really huge. It's also just about remembering how great everybody is. I like to have people in black-tie, because that's always nice. We have a story that we're telling that I feel really good about. I feel excited about it. It feels momentous for us."

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 10 premieres Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
