Short-lived NBC Page Aubrey Plaza talks Katie Couric encounter with Jay Leno

"Parks and Recreation" star Aubrey Plaza, busy promoting her part in super-ensemble "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," stopped by "The Tonight Show" to talk about her days as an NBC Page. As you can imagine, she wasn't quite as zealous as "30 Rock's" Kenneth.

Plaza admits to Jay Leno that she was eventually "asked to leave" for failing to fit in at the highly coveted job, but before she left, she did have a fun run-in with Katie Couric.

Still a "Today" host at the time, Couric mistakenly took an elevator to the wrong floor, and when she admitted her faux-pas, Plaza turned to her and asked "Are you new here, miss? I can teach you about the elevators."

Plaza says she eventually let on that she was joking, but everything we know about her makes us think she just made Couric squirm.
