Record ratings for Showtime's "Nurse Jackie" premiere last night -- 1.35 million viewers -- has earned the series a second season pickup.
Though the number is the combined total of its two Monday airings, that's still better than the premiere numbers for "Weeds," "Dexter," "Californication" and "The Tudors."
The season premiere of
did pretty well too, drawing a combined 1.68 million people in its two airings. That's a 25 percent jump over last year's finale.
The new season of "Nurse Jackie" will start shooting later in the summer and premiere next year.
So, thoughts? Did you watch last night? Were you into the
Edie Falco dramedy? Are you digging the character or do you think she's a bit much?
