Showtime's "Homeland" brings Claire Danes back to series television after her award-winning turn in the HBO biopic, "Temple Grandin."
In the new series, Danes plays CIA officer Carrie Anderson, who suspects that a newly discovered P.O.W. (who was believed dead) is actually working for the militant Islamist group, Al Qaeda.
Anderson will not only have to prove that her suspicions are right, but also convince others that the hero is plotting a terrorist attack on American soil.
Mandy Patinkin ("Criminal Minds") costars as Anderson's mentor, a veteran CIA Division Chief.
The one-hour drama goes into production this summer and there's no word from the network on a premiere date at this time.
