Sigourney Weaver, Alia Shawkat move to 'Cedar Rapids'; Gerard Butler takes on 'Coriolanus'

sigourneyweaver_290.jpgThe indie comedy "Cedar Rapids" has a few more new residents. Plus, "300's" warrior-leader will jump in time as a Sheakespearean warrior-leader.

Sigourney Weaver and Alia Shawkat have signed on for the increasingly star-studded "Cedar Rapids," according to Variety. Weaver will play a teacher; Shawkat's role has not yet been revealed.

Anne Heche recently joined the cast, which stars Ed Helms and John C. Reilly as small-town insurance salesmen who head to the "big city" of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for a convention.

The "300" star will take up arms again in a period piece for Ralph Fiennes' version of William Shakespeare's "Coriolanus," according to The Hollywood Reporter. He'll play warrior-general Tullus Aufidius.

William Hurt, Vanessa Redgrave, Eddie Marsan and Jessica Chastain are already on board. Shooting begins in March 2010.
