Emma Amelia Pearl Czikai, who appeared on the show in 2009, is suing Cowell, the show and its judges for "exploitation, humiliation, degradation and barbarism." She is also claiming discrimination for the show not making adjustments for her disability. Czikai suffers from cervical spine neuritis, which can cause head and shoulder pain. She says the show should have lowered the level of backing music and microphone levels due to her condition.

Czikai is seeking $3.8 million in damages -- roughly $450,000 for injured feelings, $1.5 million for compensation and $1.9 million in loss of earnings. She claims that if she is awarded any money, it will go to charity.
