Simon Cowell says he and fiancee are on 'a break,' calls relationship 'complicated'

Cowell tells the publication that the two have not seen each other for a month. As for their engagement, he says, "It's quite a complicated relationship. We have had a break from each other, and we are still incredibly close. I'm vulnerable. It's not on, it's not off, it's somewhere in the middle. I don't know if I will ever get married, but I am happy."

This is a far cry from when Cowell called Hussainy "The One" on the British show " Piers Morgan's Life Stories" in 2010. As for that moment, he says, "I have been pretty good about not talking about my private stuff, but I got caught up in the moment."

The two met in 2003 on the set of " American Idol." They reportedly got engaged in Feb. 2010 when Cowell gave Hussainy a diamond ring valued near $400,000.

Cowell's split marks the second judge from "The X Factor" to have relationship troubles in recent weeks. Paula Abdul and boyfriend Jeff Bratton broke up in Nov. 2011. Whether any of these breakups have to do with the "sexual tension" Cowell says exists between the two, well, only they know.
